Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Pre ("Pre", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our products and services (the "Services"). This Policy applies to US adults (18+) who access or use the Services.

Information We Collect

• Account & Contact Information: name, email address, and basic profile details you provide when creating or managing an account and startup profile.
• Startup & Planning Data: sprint plans, goals, tasks, progress and related data that you input to use our planning and accountability features, including any files you upload (e.g., logos).
• Communications: messages and interactions you send through the Services (including email or SMS communications we send to you and your responses).
• Payment & Subscription Metadata: information needed to operate recurring subscriptions (e.g., billing status and transaction references). We do not store full payment card numbers.
• Usage & Device Information: IP address, device and browser characteristics, and basic usage metrics collected to provide, secure, and improve the Services. Our analytics are enabled by default and are used to operate a secure and reliable experience. We may use aggregated or de-identified data to improve our Services, including internal AI systems, consistent with this Policy.

How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services and customer support.
• Operate planning, goals, and accountability features you choose to use.
• Process subscriptions and payments and manage account status.
• Protect against, investigate, and deter fraud, abuse, and security risks.
• Communicate with you about the Services, including operational notices, account updates, product announcements, and permitted marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in our emails, by replying STOP to SMS where applicable, or by contacting accounts@buildwithpre.com.

Where applicable, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests (e.g., service security and improvement), consent (where required), and legal compliance as our legal bases for processing.

Sharing of Information

We may share information with service providers who help us operate, secure, and support the Services (e.g., infrastructure, analytics, messaging, payments). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and process data on our instructions. We may also share information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. This does not include sharing with service providers or carriers strictly necessary to deliver SMS messages.

We use essential cookies and analytics that are enabled by default to provide a secure and reliable experience. Your browser may allow you to remove or disable cookies, but this may impact functionality. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

Data Retention, Sharing and Deletion

Pre retains all user data securely and does not share it publicly unless where the user has opted in (e.g., sending their weekly Retro to their Pressure Partners). If you have closed your account, you may request deletion of your data by emailing accounts@buildwithpre.com.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA. To exercise rights, contact us using the details below. We may take steps to verify your request.

Children

The Services are intended for US adults 18+ and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

International Transfers

If information is transferred to jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection, we implement appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
